MARILYN MANSON, CHRIS CORNELL First-Week Sales Predicted

June 7, 2007

According to Hits Daily Double, MARILYN MANSON's "Eat Me, Drink Me" is poised to sell between 90,000 and 100,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to debut in the Top 10 of next week's The Billboard 200 chart. This is slightly less than the 118,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "The Golden Age of Grotesque", which landed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart back in May 2003.

In other news, former AUDIOSLAVE/SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell is on target for first-week sales of around 40,000 with his latest solo album, "Carry On".

AUDIOSLAVE's "Revelations" sold 142,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release back in September 2006 to land at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. This was a sharp drop from the first-week performance of 2005's "Out of Exile", which premiered with 263,000 units to debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart.
